Challenging Negative Thinking: Mind Game

This workshop helps to develop cognitive resilience with a deeper focus on the idea that problems aren’t caused by situations themselves but by how we interpret them in our thoughts. It will help to build an understanding of the dynamics of stress and why perception matters.

About the Event

Do you ever struggle with negative thinking? If you have a harsh inner critic or get caught in worry, stress, anxiety, depression or wrestle with low self-worth, then you know some of the symptoms first hand.

It happens so automatically that we rarely take the time to wonder if what we’re thinking is actually true. Instead, we take our thoughts at face value and instantly respond with feelings and actions. Negative thinking patterns can have a strong and sometimes devastating impact on our relationships, our health, our work and our lives.

This psychoeducational workshop is an interactive workshop intended for anyone wanting to break this vicious cycle of negative thoughts and reactions, and train the mind to see things more positively.

The workshop will focus on:

-Identify and recognise common thinking errors

-Build personal resilience skills

-How to use the ABC Model

-Challenge our own thoughts about stressful situations

-Replace Negative Thoughts with Helpful Statements
